Love the fake backdrop: presumably they couldn't take outdoor photos in those days? Shame that the gull wasn't a Great Black-headed or something!

ah . . . the good old days eh. Forget the bird flying off, out of view. A crack shot really did nail his bird and once he had consulted his handy museum with his bagful of skins, he could put a name to most and those he couldn't, declare them knew to science. Oh yeh, you could look cool too!
